| The Info Center has historically served professionals and volunteers in the child welfare field.
The new Info Center will be expanded to serve professionals and volunteers, as well as parents, children, and foster care youth and families through partnerships with other community organizations.
The Info Center is a one-stop shop for information regarding child abuse for:
- Members of the community that spend time with children at youth groups, tutoring, or babysitting.
- Parents that might not know what the signs and symptoms of abuse are, or how to protect their children.
- Children who are not sure if what is happening to them, or their friends, is abuse or what to do if it is.
- Foster care youth who are aging out of the foster care system but have nowhere to go and no one to tell them where they can get help.
- Professionals needing the latest research, mandated reporting laws, or training events.
As a result, the Info Center will become a valuable source of information for a wider audience including professionals, volunteers, and the general public.
